It's all in the milk.
In the middle of Stans, in Schmiedgasse to be precise, is the home of the young team at Molki Stans, where they produce various milk and cheese specialties. Guests at Villa Honegg are equally enthusiastic about the delicacies from this Nidwalden cheese dairy. Whether it's yoghurt for an à la carte breakfast or a selection of cheeses on the NW Plättli as an afternoon snack, the Molki is an indispensable treat at any time of day.
The "Stanser Fladä" is particularly popular among the cheese creations. In 2022, the cheese dairy was awarded 1st place in the "Swiss Cheese Award" for its "Weisser Stanser" cheese made from sheep's milk.
In January 2020, Christian Sulzberger and Axel Dippold took over the facility, then known as Barmettler Molkerei. Together with the dedicated Molki team, they continue the traditional work with great dedication, joy and professional pride and are happy to be guided by their innovative spirit.
