Reception with heart and humor
Salut, my name is Melanie Lussi and I have been working as a receptionist at the Hotel Villa Honegg since 2019.
As a mother, I appreciate the opportunity to work part-time and have a varied job. Everyday life at reception is the ideal complement to family life for me. I particularly value the flexibility of the working hours - at the same time, it helps me a lot that I have fixed duties that I can rely on.
What I enjoy most about my work is the direct contact with the guests. I look forward to welcoming and accompanying them every time. It gives me great pleasure to talk to people from all over the world - and I have a reputation for often “having a party” with guests. These wonderful encounters make my working day special.
The atmosphere at the Honegg and the great team make me feel like I'm in the right place. It's nice to be part of a company where you feel comfortable and appreciated.
Hope to see you soon

From apprenticeship to event coordinator: my path at the Hotel Villa Honegg
Hello, I'm Francesca Rohrer, and I'd like to give you a little insight into my career at the Villa Honegg.
I completed my apprenticeship as a hotel communications specialist here at the hotel. I particularly appreciated the contact with our international guests. I enjoyed not only learning languages, but also using them directly in everyday life. Another highlight was that I gained an insight into all departments of the hotel. This allowed me to get to know the different facets of the hotel industry and find out which areas I particularly enjoy.
After my apprenticeship, I decided to switch to the events team - an area that I really enjoy. The work is varied and I appreciate working in such a beautiful place in my home region of Nidwalden. What is particularly important to me is that we have a collegial team that supports each other, even when things get hectic.
What particularly motivates me about my work is the responsibility I am allowed to take on. A good example of this was the planning and execution of an exclusive wedding. Such projects are challenging, but that's what makes them exciting. It's a good feeling to know that I can count on my team when I need to and still be able to work independently.
I look back fondly on my time here at the Hotel Villa Honegg and look forward to the next challenges that are yet to come.
Best regards
Francesca Rohrer
