The fertile land in the Maggia delta has already been farmed for 90 years. And since 1942, when Emil Bührle acquired the Terreni alla Maggia, it has been a central task for the family to use and protect this wonderful and fertile land sensibly and sustainably. On the 150-hectare farm, a varied agriculture is practised in harmony with the rhythm of nature. This results in various products of unique quality such as rice, durum wheat and maize.
